The design on the Superoots Air-Pot is quite remarkable. The wall of the Air-Pot is textured like an egg carton in order to prevent root circling. The inward pointing cones direct roots outwards, towards the outward pointing cones, which have a hole in them that increases air density to a degree that is inhospitable to plants. The tips of the roots dry out when they reach this point. In other words, the roots get air-pruned. This tricks the plant into sending out more roots in order to make up for the loss. The result is a consolidated, numerous root system.
