Product Description

Drum wood chipper is a specialized machine for producing wood chips in wood factory, and widely used for preparing raw material in chipboard plant, fiberboard plant and paper-making plant.
Raw material of wood chipper are mainly undersized log, wood cutting residue (branch, twig) and wood processing residue (slab, batten, wood core, and waste veneer), as well as non-wood material (such as waste of flax, cotton stalk, reed and bamboo.)

Wood chipper is composed of engine base, knife roller, upper and below feeding mechanism, feeding conveying device, discharging conveying device, hydraulic buffer system and electrical control system.
Engine base is welded by high strength steel plate and it is the supporting base of the whole machine. Dead knife base bearing and base engine are welded together and is used for placing dead knife. Dead knife is fastened to dead knife base by high-strength blot and pressing block. Output wood chips drop down through screen mesh and goes out at the bottom of engine base. Large wood chips will be chipped again by chipping rod.
Knife roller
Knife roller is the working part of wood chipper. It is welded by steel plate, has good rigidity and moment of inertia, and go through dynamic balance test.
Main shaft and knife roller is connected by locking device, which has the feature of simple structure, easy assembly and disassembly. Both ends of main shaft are supported by automatic Spherical Roller Bearings. Bearing pedestal is fixed on the engine base.
There are four fly- cutters on the knife roller and fastened by high-strength bolt and pressing block.
Upper and below feeding mechanism
Upper feeding mechanism is composed of upper feeding roller base, feeding roller, feeding roller axle, spindle and reduction gearbox. Below feeding mechanism is composed of feeding roller, supporting roller, feeding roller axle and reduction gearbox.
Feeding roller is large in diameter, heavy and has coarse teeth on the surface, so that it can bite raw material tightly to make raw material enter chipping position at the constant speed and guarantee qualified output chips. Upper feeding roller and below feeding roller are staggered so that fragment is cleared away.
Upper feeding roller is fastened to shaft by locking device. Shaft is supported by Spherical Roller Bearings. Bearing pedestal is fastened onto the upper feeding roller base. Upper feeding roller base is installed onto engine base by pendulum shaft, and can swing up and down circled by spindle. This ensure that it can adjust itself for different feeding height.
Below feeding roller is fastened to shaft by locking device. Shaft and supporting roller are supported by Spherical Roller Bearings. Bearing pedestal is fastened onto engine base. Upper and below gear motor drive upper and below feeding roller respectively. Upper feeding roller rotates in the same direction. But below feeding roller rotates at the opposite direction of knife roller.
Feeding conveyor
Feeding conveying device is belt conveyor with the length of 4 meters.
Discharging conveyor
Discharging conveying device is belt conveyor with the length of 10 meters.
Hydraulic buffer system
Hydraulic buffer system is composed of hydraulic power unit (share one hydraulic power unit with foldable discharging device), one-way oil cylinder, one-way throttle valve, energy accumulator, stop valve and other pipe elements.
Oil pump supply oil cylinder with oil, and it enables upper feeding mechanism lift up and reduce its weight.
