USAGE
It is used in precision casting as sand mould binder, and the metal surface treated with ethyl silicate is anticorrosive and waterproof. Ethyl silicate can be used to siliconize metal surface, treat optical glass to improve the transmittance, and produce ultra-fine silica powder after complete hydrolysis can be used to make phosphors. Ethyl silicate is the raw material of organic silicone oil. It can also be used to manufacture heat-resistant and chemical-resistant coatings. 90% Ethyl Silicate Used as Material for Anticorrosive Coatings (Zinc-rich Paint).
