Vulcanizing Autoclaves
Vulcanizing autoclaves are used by the rubber industry to convert natural rubber into a cured and cross-linked vulcanized rubber product. Vulcanizing autoclaves can also be used to cure plastics. Vulcanizing autoclaves use live internal steam, a mix of live steam and hot air, or hot-air only. Vulcanizing autoclaves are used to cure tires, hoses, and many other products that might not lend themselves to a standard press-based compression molding process.
Depending on the type of rubber, the vulcanizing process can occur from room temperature (ie. Silicones) up to 350 °F (170 °C) or more (ie. Tires).

Whether you're looking for a vulcanization for small parts or a 17 ft. (5.2m) diameter earth-moving tire (tyre) autoclave, ESTA can design and build to suit your needs. Our manufacturing facility is capable of building autoclaves to 17 ft. (5.2m) inside diameter and up to 150 ft. (45.7m) long.
 
TYPES OF VULCANIZING AUTOCLAVES OFFERED BY ETSA (Evertech Sasi)
Vulcanizing autoclaves are available in several variations to suit different vulcanization needs. For example, autoclaves with indirect heat transfer systems employ a heat exchanger to distribute heat generated by an external heat source to the working envelope of the autoclave, while autoclaves with direct heat transfer systems have heating elements that are located within the autoclave itself. Additionally, the heat can be generated through electric, steam, gas, or thermal oil means.

Application

Widely used in vulcanization of rubber products, SBR thermoplastic as well as the carbonization and degreasing of bamboo, such as, rubber, cable, printing and dyeing, chemical, building materials and other industries. Mainly used in rubber products, rubber hose, rubber roller etc.

HEATING SYSTEMS OPTIONS
We offer vulcanizing autoclaves with three different types of heating systems: direct heat through the use of steam, indirect heat utilizing steam, or indirect heat generated by electricity. 
QUICK OPENING DOOR
ETSA autoclaves have hydraulic powered doors that allow for quick and safe opening and locking of the unit. The door systems feature a long-lasting O-ring gasket supported by a locking ring rotation only function that further extends its life. The use of an air system is not needed for the formation of an adequate gasket seal.
BASIC TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE CONTROLS
Each autoclave comes with a prepackaged temperature and pressure control unit. A 24-hour circular chart recorder is also included.
PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER (PLC)
Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) provide autoclave operators with greater flexibility in the programming of autoclave process cycles. This quality allows them to optimize cycles to achieve the desired process and product results. The PLC included in ETSA autoclaves have modem hookup capabilities.
