General Information
Purpose: The Felivet FCV-FHV-FCOV-FPV Ag Combo Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the differential diagnosis of Feline Calicivirus virus antigen (FCV Ag), Feline Herpesvirus Type-1 antigen (FHV Ag), Feline antigen (FCOV Ag) and Feline Panleukopenia virus antigen (FPV Ag) in cat's specimen.
Principle: Immunochromatographic assay
Specimen: feces or vomit
Materials provided in one box:
10 combo test cards
10 sample collection tube
10 disposable sample droppers
1 user manual
Test Procedure
Chart I. FCV-FHV Ag test procedure
1. Collect cat's ocular, nasal or anus secretions with the cotton swab stick and make the swab wet sufficiently.
2. Insert the swab into the provided assay buffer tube. Agitates it to get efficient sample extraction.
3. Take out the test device from the foil pouch and place it horizontally.
4. Suck the treated sample extraction from the assay buffer tube and place 3 drops into the sample hole "S" of the test device.
5. Interpret the result in 5-10 minutes. Result after 10 minutes is considered as invalid.
Chart II. FCOV-FPV Ag test procedure
1. Collect cat's fresh feces or vomit with the cotton swab from cat's anus or from the ground.
Limitations of test results:
This product in an immunological diagnostic kit, only used for clinical detection of pet diseases to provide qualitative test results. If you are in doubt about the test results, please use other diagnostic methods (such as ELISA kits, B-ultra-sound, etc.) for further analysis of the tested samples. For pathological analysis, consult your local pet care provider.

Q1. What is the test principle for CaniV-4 test kits?
A1. The FCV-FHV-FCOV-FPV Ag Combo Test is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test card has two testing windows for the observation of assay running and result reading. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone before running the assay. When the treated sample was applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow through the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated monoclonal antibodies. If there is FCV, FHV, FCOV or FPV antigen in the specimen, a visible T line will appear. In this way, the device can accurately indicate the presence of Calicivirus virus antigen, Herpesvirus Type-1 antigen, antigen, Panleukopenia virus antigen in the specimen.
Q2. What is storage and expiration date for CaniV-4 test kits?
A2. Store at 4 ~ 30 ºC, in a cool and dry place, avoid freezing. It is valid for 24 months.
Q3. What is the test sample for CaniV-4 test kits?
A3. Collect the feces from the patient cat, centrifuge it to get the serum, or place the whole blood into a tube which contains anticoagulants to get plasma.
Q4. What is the preservation for CaniV-4 test kits?
A4. It is recommended to conduct a test immediately after sample collection. If not for testing right now, they should be stored at 2-8 °C. If preserved at -20°C, the shelf life of the sample can be increased, but it must be restored to room temperature before use.
Q5. What is the result interpretation for CaniV-4 test kits?
A5. 1) Negative results: Within the specified reaction time, there is one and only one C line in the window area;
2) Positive results: Within the specified reaction time, two color bands (T line and C line) appear in the window area;
3) Invalid results: Within the specified reaction time, no control line (C line) appears in the window area.
