Product Description

Applications:

Trioctyl phosphate finds applications as a solvent in the synthesis of hydrogen peroxide by the anthraquinone process, in order to improve quality, increase efficiency, and make the process more environmentally friendly.

Trioctyl phosphate is used as a plasticizer in polymers such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and synthetic rubber, giving them higher flexibility and better resistance to low temperatures.

Due to its excellent flame retardancy, trioctyl phosphate is also used to produce flame retardant and self-extinguishing products.

As a flame retardant, trioctyl phosphate has the following main application areas:

Plastic:
It can be used in polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane, polystyrene and other plastics. It can reduce the heat release and smoke generation when plastics burn, improve their flame retardant properties and processing properties, and enhance fire safety.

Rubber:
It is suitable for natural rubber and synthetic rubber. It can form a carbonized layer when rubber burns, prevent oxygen from contacting rubber, improve the flame retardant properties of rubber products, and do not affect its physical and mechanical properties.

Coating:
When added to fire-retardant coatings and industrial coatings, the coating can form an insulating layer under the action of flames, prevent heat from transferring to the substrate, protect the substrate from fire damage, and enhance the fire protection of the coating.

Textile:
It is used in functional textiles such as firefighting suits, textiles for aerospace, hotel curtains, etc. through impregnation, coating and other processes. It can inhibit the generation of free radicals, interrupt the combustion reaction, and improve the fire resistance of textiles.

Other fields:
It can also be used in inks, adhesives, etc., to improve the flame retardant properties of inks when printing flammable material packaging, and the safety of adhesives when bonding various materials, reducing fire hazards.
