The cell strainer cap for a FACS tube, short for fluorescence-activated cell sorting tube, serves as an accessory to strain out undesired debris and clumps from the cell suspension prior to its analysis in a flow cytometer or FACS machine. These caps are typically equipped with a mesh or sieve-like structure that acts as a strainer, enabling the passage of individual cells while trapping larger particles. They are specifically designed to snugly fit atop a FACS tube, offering a convenient means to directly filter the sample into the tube.

Share Filters' cell strainers are crafted from precise nylon filter mesh with uniformly spaced pores, supported by a polypropylene (PP) frame. They come in various mesh sizes, ranging from 5μm to 200μm, each color-coded for easy identification. These caps, designed for 3ml and 5ml tubes, feature vented positions for optimal performance.
