Product Description
Oven glass is a crucial component of an oven, with its structural design directly impacting the appliance's performance and safety. Typically, oven glass features a multi-layer design to meet the requirements of insulation, safety, and aesthetics in high-temperature environments. Here is a detailed explanation of the structure and layers of oven glass:
- Outer Glass
- Material Characteristics: The outer layer is usually made of high-strength tempered glass, known for its heat resistance, impact resistance, and aesthetic appeal.
- Function: This layer serves as the visible part of the oven glass, providing a clear viewing window while ensuring safety. It often features screen-printed patterns for added visual appeal and functionality.
- Middle Insulation Layer (Optional)
- Material Characteristics: The middle layer is typically composed of air or a vacuum space, and sometimes low-emissivity (Low-E) glass, designed to enhance thermal insulation.
- Function: This layer acts as a thermal barrier, minimizing heat transfer from the oven interior to the outer layer, thereby protecting users from accidental burns.
- Inner Glass
- Material Characteristics: The inner glass faces the high temperatures inside the oven and is usually made of heat-resistant tempered glass or ceramic glass, capable of withstanding prolonged exposure to extreme heat.
- Function: This layer ensures stability during high-temperature operation and prevents heat from escaping outward.

2. Resistance to thermal shock
Heat the glass plate to a temperature of 200°C ± 5°C and immediately quench with a stream of water at a temperature that produces a temperature difference of 200°C. No cracks are allowed.
3. Resistance to mechanical impact
Put the glass panel on the frame and use spring hammer of 0.5J to hit the glass panel, no break is allowed with 3 times.
4. Toughening fragmentation
Toughened glass plate fragment that the number of particles counted in a 50x50 mm area is not less than 70.
