Q: What Are Sound Panels Made Out Of?
While there are a variety of core raw materials that can produce the conversion from sound wave energy to kinetic energy, most sound panels are made of compressed Fiberglass or Rockwool boards.

Q: Are Sound Panels Durable?
Yes, depending on the room where the acoustic panels will be placed, there are upgrades available to make the edges of the panels crush-proof for greater durability, such as for use in a gymnasium. 

Q: How Do Sound Panels Work?
As sound waves enter the surface of a sound panel, the microfibers in the panel's core begin to vibrate. These vibrations, in turn, convert the sound wave into a low-grade form of heat known as kinetic energy. During this transformation, less sound wave energy is available to reflect back from the acoustic panel. Consequently, the level of echoes in the room is reduced.
