Low-density polyethylene is a synthetic resin obtained by free radical polymerization of ethylene under high pressure, so it is also known as "high-pressure polyethylene".LPDE is a branched molecule with different lengths of branched chains on the main chain, about 15-30 ethyl, butyl, or a longer version of the branched chain for every 1,000 carbon atoms on the main chain. As the molecular chain contains more long and short branched chain, so the density of the product is low, soft, low temperature resistance, impact resistance is good, has good chemical stability, in general, acid resistance (in addition to strong oxidizing acid), alkali, salt corrosion resistance, has good electrical insulation properties.
Low-density polyethylene film also has a wide range of applications, such as the packaging field.
