This type of guardrail is predominantly installed along the edges of highways, docks, aisles, and particularly in areas prone to accidents such as curves and inclines.
The HuaAn W/Thrie Beam Guardrail is crafted using the latest advancements in highway safety barrier technology, ensuring superior durability and strength. These M180 guardrails have successfully undergone rigorous crash tests corresponding to MASH standards, achieving levels TL1, TL2, TL3, and TL4.
In compliance with EN 1317 containment levels, the guardrails meet the following specifications: HIW3-A, HIW4-A, HIW6, H2W2, H2W3-A, H2W4-A, H2W5, H2W6, H3, H4bW2, and H1-B-W5. These designations reflect the guardrails' capability to safely contain and redirect vehicles of varying sizes and speeds, contributing significantly to the overall safety of the road environment.

- As part of the rewrite of NCHRP 350 [NCHRP Project 22-14(2)], the MGS Barrier was successfully tested;
- With both the 5000-pound quad cab and 5000-pound 3/4-ton pickup trucks;
- With the 2425-pound small car at the 32″ rail height;
- The MGS Barrier has a greater construction tolerance: Was tested to 32″;
- Having all of the components of the MGS system tested at 27 5/8″ allows the states to both set a construction tolerance for the rail system and to overlay the road without adjusting the system;
- Both tangent and flared terminals were tested in the MGS configuration as an option;
- The MGS Guardrail Barrier offers many variables to accommodate the real-world site conditions;
- The SKT and FLEAT were successfully crash tested in the MGS configuration.
