Norson Asymtek Dispenser machanical spring seals
The sealing principle of spring energized seal is based upon the active loaded seal jacket against the mating gland surfaces, creating a leak-tight seal. The sealing forces could come from either spring deflection at low pressure or the system itself at high pressure to ensure full contact with the gland surfaces. In dynamic applications, the spring also provides resiliency to the seal jacket from inside out, compensating for material wear, jacket wall reduction, and eccentricity. The seal designs combined with the variety of high performance jacket materials provide the optimum sealing performance in a wide range of tough-to-seal environments.
