High purity white Polyaluminium Chloride (PAC)
Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is an inorganic substance, a new water purification material and inorganic polymer coagulant, which is referred to as polyaluminum for short. It is a water-soluble inorganic polymer between AlCI3 and Al(OH)3, and its general chemical formula is [Al2(OH)nCl6-n]m, where M represents the degree of polymerization and N represents the neutral degree of PAC products. N=1~5 is a highly charged polymeric ring chain with Keggin structure, which has a high degree of electric neutralization and bridging effect on colloids and particles in water, and can strongly remove trace poisons and heavy metal ions, with stable properties. Due to the bridging effect of hydroxide ions and the polymerization of polyvalent anions, the produced polyaluminium chloride is an inorganic polymer water treatment agent with higher molecular weight and higher charge.
Main application
1. Used as paper sizing agent in paper industry to enhance the water resistance and seepage resistance of paper;
2. After being dissolved in water, fine particles and natural colloidal particles in water can be condensed into large flocs, which can be removed from water, so it is used as coagulant for water supply and wastewater;
3. It is used as a purifying agent for turbid water, and also as a precipitant, color fixing agent, filler, etc. Used as an antiperspirant cosmetic raw material (astringent) in cosmetics;
4. In the fire protection industry, it forms foam extinguishing agent with baking soda and foaming agent;
5. Analytical reagents, mordants, tanning agents, oil decolorizers and wood preservatives;
6. Stabilizers for pasteurization of albumin (including liquid or frozen whole eggs, egg whites or egg yolks);
7. It can be used as raw materials to make artificial gem, high-grade ammonium alum and other aluminates;
8. In the fuel industry, it is used as a precipitant in the production of chrome yellow and lake dyes, and at the same time, it serves as a fixing agent and filler.
9. It is used as an effective cross-linking agent for animal glue and can improve the viscosity of animal glue. It is also used as curing agent of urea-formaldehyde adhesive, and the curing speed of 20% aqueous solution is faster.
White polyaluminium chloride is called high-purity iron-free white polyaluminium chloride, or food-grade white polyaluminium chloride. Compared with other polyaluminium chloride, it is the highest quality product. The main raw materials are high-quality aluminum hydroxide powder and hydrochloric acid, and the production process adopted is the most advanced spray drying method in China. White polyaluminium chloride is used in papermaking sizing agent, sugar decolorizing clarifier, tanning, medicine, cosmetics, precision casting, water treatment and other fields.
