Main uses
1. Used as a flame retardant for various resins, synthetic rubber, canvas, paper, coatings, etc., as a catalyst for petrochemical and synthetic fibers. Used in the manufacture of mordant, opalescent agent, is the synthesis of antimony salt raw materials. The enamel industry is used as an additive to increase the opacity and surface gloss of enamel. Used in glass industry as a decolorizing agent instead of arsenite. Medicine, metallurgy, industry, etc.
2. Antimony trioxide is an additive flame retardant, often used with other flame retardants and smoke suppressants, and synergistic effects can be produced between the components. At the initial stage of combustion, antimony trioxide is first melted, forming a protective film on the surface of the material to isolate the air, and reducing the combustion temperature through the internal endothermic reaction. At high temperatures, antimony trioxide is vaporized, diluting the oxygen concentration in the air and thus playing a flame retardant role.
