FRP pultruded profiles are a composite material made of glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP). They have excellent corrosion resistance, light weight and high strength, dimensional stability, low thermal conductivity and insulation, and are suitable for structural applications in harsh environments.
Its production adopts pultrusion molding process. The glass fiber yarn bundle is impregnated with resin and pulled into the mold for molding, and then heated and cured to form profiles with stable cross-sections, such as square tubes, round tubes, I-beams, angle steels, etc. These profiles have various specifications, and the common specifications are 20x20 mm, 30x30 mm, 50x50 mm, 100x100 mm. The thickness, color and strength can be customized according to specific needs. General parameters: density: 1.8 - 2.0 g/cm³ tensile strength: ≥400 MPa bending strength: ≥350 MPa insulation: dielectric strength ≥10 kV/mm, suitable for power insulation.

Production process
FRP pultrusion production is a continuous production process for producing glass fiber reinforced polymer profiles of arbitrary length and constant cross-section. The reinforcing fibers can be rovings, continuous mats, woven robes, carbon fibers or others. The fibers are impregnated with a polymer matrix (resin, minerals, pigments, additives) and pass through a preforming station that creates the necessary layering to give the profile the desired properties. After the preforming step, the resin-impregnated fibers are pulled through a heated die to polymerize the resin.
