SAP or Superabsorbent polymers is a material which can absorb up to 300 times their weight in aqueous fluids. Once absorbed, they do not subsequently release it. They are therefore an ideal material for use in products which are designed to contain fluids such as baby diapers/nappies, incontinence products, and feminine hygiene pads and liners.
Superabsorbent polymer (SAP) is a functional polymer material with a three-dimensional network structure, synthesized through polymerization reactions using unsaturated monomers as raw materials, along with crosslinking agents and initiators.
It exhibits extremely high water absorption and retention capabilities.
In addition to its strong water absorption and water retention, it possesses the basic properties of polymer compounds (high mechanical strength, good insulation and corrosion resistance, strong plasticity and high elasticity).
