1. What are the advantages of glass insulators?
Glass insulator has zero value self-explosion characteristics, when the insulator deteriorates and loses insulation performance, it will automatically break, which is convenient for operation and maintenance personnel to find and replace in time to ensure the safety of the line. Its mechanical strength is high, can withstand large tensile force, pressure and bending moment and other mechanical loads, adapt to different line conditions. The surface is smooth, not easy to accumulate pollution, compared with other insulator types in the same environment, the pollution lightning voltage is higher, has good anti-pollution performance, and excellent aging resistance, can maintain stable insulation and mechanical properties in long-term operation, long service life, usually up to 30-40 years or even longer.

2. What are its disadvantages?
