Holmium laser fiber is designed for the optical transmission of holmium lasers. Holmium lasers are solid-state lasers that can be transmitted through optical fibers and are widely used in surgical procedures, including urology, orthopedics, gynecology, dentistry, and the treatment of urinary stones. The specifications of holmium laser fibers include 200 microns, 275 microns, 365 microns, 550 microns, 800 microns, and 1000 microns. These fibers are used for transmitting holmium laser energy, which is effective in cutting, vaporizing, and hemostasis, and can pulverize hard stones within the human body.

Holmium laser technology is a novel method for treating stones, offering the capability to effectively fragment various types of urinary stones, particularly those with high hardness. Unlike general lasers that rely on shock wave principles to break stones, holmium lasers utilize thermal effects, a feature driven by their strong water absorption characteristics. The residual heat generated by the laser also has a significant hemostatic effect. The operation of holmium laser lithotripsy is simple; after visualizing the stone through a cystoscope, ureteroscope, or percutaneous nephroscope, the fiber is placed in direct contact with the stone surface to trigger the laser. Through a "drilling effect," the stone is vaporized and broken into small particles that are expelled from the body.
