01 Brief Introstruction of Rotary Drum Dryer
Rotary drum dryer machine belongs to a new generation of wood drying equipment, also known as shavings dryer, which is designed for wood chips /wood flakes drying. There are two main streams in wood drying equipment: hot air dryer (also called wood chip dryer or sawdust dryer) and single-channel rotary dryer (that is, for the wet shavings played by the shavings machine and the wood chips played by the chipper, also called shavings dryer, wood chip dryer).

Rotary Dryer Structure
This series of rotary drum dryer is mainly composed of cylinder, big tooth ring, pinion, support wheel, stop wheel, wheel belt, support wheel shaft and other parts. Through the triangular belt, the motor is decelerated by two stages of the reducer, and the big tooth ring is driven by the pinion to make the cylinder run at the designed speed, so that the material in the cylinder body is evenly dried.
Working Principle
The working principle of a wood drum dryer is to feed wet wood materials into the dryer through a conveyor belt or elevator, or by adding a feeder for continuous and smooth material feeding. During installation, the drum is inclined at a 3-5º angle to ensure smooth movement of materials from the upper part to the lower part. In the upper part of the dryer, a brick heating stove or coal gas producer is constructed to introduce hot air into the dryer. The wet wood materials come into full contact with the hot air, and due to the constant lifting and dropping of materials, the wet materials gradually dry. Throughout the process, the drum of the dryer rotates, facilitating the continuous movement of wood materials in the hot air, ensuring uniform and efficient drying.
