Stud bolts, or threaded rods, are fasteners with continuous threading, used in construction, machinery, and piping systems. Common materials include carbon steel (Grade 4.8/8.8) for general purposes, stainless steel (A2/A4) for corrosion resistance, and alloy steel (Grade 10.9/12.9) for high-strength applications.
Brass and aluminum studs are used in electrical or lightweight structures. Surface treatments enhance durability: zinc plating (blue/white/yellow) prevents rust, hot-dip galvanizing offers heavy-duty protection, and black oxide improves wear resistance. For harsh environments, PTFE coating or Xylan finishes provide chemical resistance.
