Product Description

The rotary-type total heat exchanger operates by continuously rotating its wheel at a speed of 8-12 revolutions per minute. The rotating wheel serves as a thermal or cooling storage core. Fresh air passes through one half of the rotary heat exchanger, while exhaust air simultaneously passes in the opposite direction through the other half. In this way, fresh air and exhaust air alternately pass through the wheel in opposite directions, with the exhaust air releasing heat into the thermal or cooling storage core.

In the case of total heat wheels, humidity is also transferred. Moisture separated from the airflow enters the hygroscopic coating of the thermal storage core. When the wheel rotates to the other airflow, the moisture is released. During the process of humidity transfer, heat transfer or exchange also occurs.

A total heat exchanger recovers energy by exchanging both sensible heat (temperature) and latent heat (humidity) between the indoor exhaust air and the fresh outdoor air. This process helps to save energy while maintaining proper ventilation. In the summer, it pre-cools and dehumidifies the incoming fresh air, while in the winter, it preheats and humidifies the air. Its energy recovery efficiency can exceed 79%, thus reducing the cooling and heating loads on air conditioning or boiler systems, as well as electricity consumption.

The impeller of the rotary-type total heat exchanger continuously rotates at a speed of 8-12 revolutions per minute, acting as the core for heat or cold storage. Fresh air passes through one half of the impeller heat exchanger, while exhaust air flows in the opposite direction through the other half. This alternating reverse flow of fresh and exhaust air through the rotor allows the exhaust air to release heat into the heat or cold storage core.

In a fully heated rotary wheel, humidity transfer is also ensured. Moisture separated from the airflow is absorbed by the moisture-absorbing coating of the heat storage core, and when the airflow reverses, this moisture is released. During humidity transfer, heat transfer or exchange occurs simultaneously.

A total heat exchanger is a device that recovers energy by exchanging both sensible and latent heat between indoor exhaust air and fresh air from outside, saving energy while maintaining effective ventilation. In summer, the fresh air is pre-cooled and dehumidified, while in winter, it is pre-heated and humidified. Its recovery efficiency can exceed 79%, reducing the heating or cooling load and power consumption during air conditioning or boiler operation.
