Product Description
6x6x6 Rock Wool Cube for Tomato Greenhouse HydroponicsThe rock wool substrate is ideally suited for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, growing medicinal herbs, and creating stunning three-dimensional greenery,
vertical planting walls, and home gardening, among other applications.
Rock Wool Cubes facilitate seamless starting of seeds and cuttings, ensuring uniform root development throughout. They fit into holes of standard rock wool blocks and can also be paired with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most growing mediums.
Rock wool is crafted from molten basalt and limestone rock, spun into fibers, and then formed into cubes, blocks, or slabs.
Handle rock wool with care by wearing gloves and a mask. The fibers can cause skin irritation, and inhalation may irritate the lungs.
1. Avoid squeezing Rock Wool, especially when it is wet.
2. Always pre-condition Rock Wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak Rock Wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Water plants only when there is light; avoid watering in the dark.
5. Maintain an optimal growing environment temperature of 18.5-28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C within the growing media can deplete oxygen levels and promote root disease.
6. In low light conditions, use a higher volume of water with fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Avoid keeping Rock Wool overly wet. Excessive algae is a sign of overwatering. Minimize watering while the plant is young to ensure proper root establishment, which is essential for healthy growth.
Features: 1. It has an exceptional water retention capacity while still holding sufficient air. It retains ample water, offering an advantage during power or equipment failures. 2. Available in multiple sizes and shapes to suit diverse hydroponic applications. 3. Rock Wool is remarkably durable and doesn't easily disintegrate. 4. Free from insects. 5. Its physical structure prevents root inspection.
