The working principle of infrared automatic stop device is photoelectric conversion.
This device is fixed on creel, including three parts. Usually 1 pc of controller, several pcs of sensor bar, and 2 pcs of cable.
Sensor bar is composed of infrared sensors and droppers. Infrared sensor includes an infrared emitter and an infrared receiver. When creel works, yarns go through the round holes at the top of droppers. Droppers are keeped upon the optical path under the action of yarn tension. Infrared beam is launched from the infrared emitter to the infrared receiver. After the photosensitive tube inside the infrared receiver receives the infrared light, it converts light signals into high voltage signal.
When one of the yarns is broken, the corresponding dropper will fall down, thus blocking the infrared light. The photosensitive tube will output low potential signals, which will make the machine stopped by the controller.
