Product Introduction
As a high-end Christmas ornament product, the manufacturing process of inner-painted glass Christmas ball is complex. Inside painting is a century-old art form that treasured by collectors. Our artist uses a tiny L-shaped brush, pass through a small opening on the top, and paint on the inner surface of each ball. Such process requires a high degree of proficiency and creativity from the artist. Most of our artists are trained for more than ten years to master the skill; their works are rich in color and vivid in imagery. No two products are exactly the same, each ornament is a unique artwork.
Origins
In China, the art of inner painting originated at the age of Emperor Jia Qing of the Qing Dynasty, and has a history of over 200 years. Some skilled painters began to paint on the interior of transparent glass bottles or crystal pots. The themes can be figures, landscapes, flowers and birds. One of the very representative inside-painting artworks is the Inner-painted Snuff Bottle, which was designed as a fancy container carrying remedy for common illnesses like cold, headache and stomach disorder. Due to the exquisite craftsmanship, the snuff bottles became popular among the Chinese upper class and nobles.
Today, the art of inner painting has been applied to a wider range of products and is becoming increasingly known and loved by collectors from all around the world.
