XIESHENG Liquid-Liquid Separator
Typically, Liquid-Liquid separations are employed to remove oil or other hydrocarbon material from water or for the removal of traces of water or aqueous reagents from oil or hydrocarbon. In most cases a horizontal vessel is the most effective. A vessel configuration similar to type 5 for vapor-liquid separation may be used except that in the case of liquid-liquid separation, the gas outlet nozzle functions instead as the light phase outlet and the liquid outlet nozzle functions as the heavy phase outlet.
The choice of internals (which ultimately dictates the vessel size) depends upon the nature of the feed and the degree of separation required. Settle plate packs are first choice in bulk separator but Mesh coalescers may be necessary where emulsions are anticipated or where very low breakthrough level are required.
Small density differences between the two phases dictate low axial velocity and consequently perforated pipes design to ensure good feed distribution are the most effective inlet device for liquid-liquid separation duties.

On October 24, 2021, the startup of the world 's first 400,000 tonnes crude gas to ethylene glycol project (Hami Guanghui project) was successfully completed. The project's main contractor, Wuhuan Engineering Ltd., was able to produce high quality ethylene glycol products with the aid of Xiesheng's high-efficiency separators. The successful completion of this project has significant social effect on promoting carbon reduction.
