Attributes : It is deliquescent. It melts into transparent liquid when heated to 400ºC, and solidifies into opaque glassy potassium metaphosphate after cooling. Stable in air, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol.
3. Application
In industry, it is not only used as buffer and culture agent, but also used as flavoring agent for bacterial culture agent synthesis, raw material for preparing potassium metaphosphate, culture agent, enhancer, leavening agent and fermentation assistant for brewing yeast. In agriculture, it is used as a high-efficiency phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer.

Properties:
Colorless to white crystalls or crystal powder, odourless. Relative density 2.338. Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. Acidic aqueous solution, 2.7% of the aqueous solution PH 4.2 4.7. Stability in the air. ADI0-70 mg/kg (FAO/WHO, 1994).
Use:
Used as chromatographic analysis reagent and buffer, also used in pharmaceutical synthesis.
Used in the manufacture of baking, in the food industry as a leavening agent, flavouring agent, fermentation
additives, nutrition enhancer, yeast food. Also used as a buffering agent, chelating agent.
Used as a fertilizer, seasoning, brewing yeast culture agent, was used to prepare buffer solution, also used in medicine and the manufacturing potassium metaphosphate.
