Magnalium is an aluminium alloy with 5% magnesium and 95% aluminum.
Magnesium powder is an alkaline earth metal produced in a variety of forms for use in flash bulbs, flares, recovery of titanium, pyro,stars,gerbs comets,fire starter,survival kits,dry cell batteries, optical mirrors, precision instruments and as a thermite mixture igniter.

Injection molded magnesium parts require less secondary machining than die casting parts.
