This 6"x6" Military Level 4 Alumina Ceramic Bulletproof Side Plate  is a NIJ 0101.06 qualified level IV plate, which can be used independently.

This plate is made of advanced composite materials (Test report available). With a durable Polyurea Anti-Spall Coating, it reduces fragmentation and promotes non-corrosive longevity.

  This leve IV 6" x 6" military bulletproof plate NIJ 0101.06 certificated (Test report available) and rated to stop powerful bullets, such as AP, and API. It can stop M2 AP bullets ≮ 1 shots.

A2: It depends. There is no need to purcahse hard armor plates if you only need to stop the handguns. However, if there is more strong threats and you need the vest to stop rifles, you can choose the overt ballistic vest and buy hard armor plates.
