Product Description
N-hexane is a naturally occurring hydrocarbon in petroleum and is one of the main components of petroleum ether and naphtha. The chemical formula is C6H14, which belongs to straight chain saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons, colorless transparent liquid at room temperature, slightly petroleum odor. Volatile, steam heavier than air. Form explosive mixture with air, explosion limit 1.18% ~ 7.4% (volume fraction). N-hexane is widely used as extraction solvent for cooking oil, rubber solvent, artificial leather finishing agent, precision device cleaning agent, clothes detergent, medicine tablet detergent and mixing solvent.
There are four isomers of n-hexane, 2-methylpentane (isohexane), 3-methylpentane, 2, 3-dimethylbutane (diisopropyl alkane), 2, 2-dimethylbutane (new hexane), all of which are colorless, volatile and flammable liquid alkanes with weak special odor.

N-hexane has many uses in industry, including solvents, cleaning agents and adhesives. In terms of solvents, n-hexane is commonly used in the preparation of viscose adhesives to bond shoe leather and bags, as well as in wiping and cleaning operations in the production process of the electronic information industry. It is also used as an extraction solvent for cooking oil, a rubber solvent, a finishing agent for artificial leather, a cleaning agent for precision devices, a detergent for clothes, a detergent for medical tablets and a mixing solvent. In addition, n-hexane is used in the plastics manufacturing industry for propylene solution recovery and as a floral solvent extractant in the production of household chemicals.
