Overview of Thickeners
Thickeners, often referred to as thickening machines or thickening tanks, are devices used in mineral processing
and industrial production to separate solid particles from liquids, thereby increasing the concentration of solid
particles. These devices are widely used in industries such as mineral processing, chemical, food processing, and
pharmaceuticals.
Working Principle:
The working principle of a thickener is typically based on gravitational settling. After materials are fed into the thickener, solid particles gradually settle to the bottom due to gravity, while the liquid remains on top. Over time, solid particles form a concentrated layer at the bottom, and the liquid above becomes clearer. In some cases, mechanical stirring or raking may be used in thickeners to assist in the settling and separation of solid particles.

Peripheral Drive Thickeners: A peripheral drive mechanism rotates rakes to push concentrated material from the periphery to the center of the thickener.
Deep Cone Thickeners: Feature a deep conical bottom that aids in the concentration and discharge of solid particles.

Production Details
NZ(S) type (also called TNZ type) thickener is a center drive thickener,which is a concentrate and clarifying equipment
with continuous woking.lt's mainly used for dehydrating of concentrate and tailing pulp in wet beneficiation,as well
as the industries like coal,chemical,building materials and water sewage treatment etc,which need solid slurry
concentrated and purified.The product with diameter less than 12mm adopts manual handle,while the diameter with
more than 12mm adopts electric handle device.The product has simple structure,low abrasion and convenient
maintenance.Largescale thickener is usually arranged with a concrete tank,with overload indicating or alarming
devices.This machine has the features like simple structure,low abrasion and convenient maintenance.
Remark
1.For corrosive slurry,an anticorrosive thickener is available, which requires special order.
2.Considering the conditions of transport and construction period,the customer shall specify whether a thickening
tan is required or not.
