1. Main Application
XLPE(Cross linked polyethylene) cable constitutes the best cable for transmission and distribution lines because of its excellent electrical and physical properties. These cables has the advantage of simplicity in construction, lightness in weight; convenience in application besides its excellent electrical, thermal, mechanical and anti-chemical corrosion properties. It can also be laid with no limitation of level difference along the route.

3. Product Properties
The product is suitable for power transmission and distribution lines with rated power frequency voltage 0.6/1 kV.
3.1 Rated voltages U0/U(Um): 0.6/1 (1.2)kV.
Note:U0 :Rated power-frequency voltage between conductor and earth or armour, metal sheath or screen for which the cable is suitable.
U :Rated power-frequency voltage between phase conductors for which the cable is suitable.
Um :Maximum value of the highest system voltage between phase conductors for which the cable is suitable.
3.2 Test Voltage: 3.5kV 5min No Breakdown, according to IEC60502-1.
3.3 The ambient temperature for installation: ≥0ºC.
3.4 Maximum conductor temperature in normal operation:≤90ºC.
3.5 Max operating temperature of con. When cable short-circuited(5s maximum duration): 250ºC.
3.6 Permissible minimum bending radius:
Single unarmoured cable: 20 x OD
Multi-core unarmoured cable: 15 x OD
Single armoured cable: 5 x OD

A: The armored material of single core cable should be non-magnetic or magnetic reduced structure. Generallly, single core armored cable (which uses steel or steel wire armored cable) only applies to DC occasions.

Assembly /Inner Sheath :Multi core insulated conductors are laid-up together with non-hygroscopic fillers and the assembly is bedded with an extruded layer of PVC. In case of non-armoured cables, this layer may be omitted
Armour: Aluminum/Galvanized Steel Wires, single core cables shall be Aluminium wire armour, Aluminum/Steel Tapes applied helically over the bedding of multi-core cables as per IEC 60502.
Outer Sheath:Outer sheath shall be of Extruded PVC Type ST2 as per IEC 60502-1 or Type 9 as BS 6346/5467.Special type of PVC sheathing material such as Fire Retardant PVC, Anti-Termite PVC, Anti-Rodent PVC, Sunlight resistant PVC, Oil Resistant PVC are available on special request. Also, special sheathing materials such as LLDPE, MDPE, HDPE, LSZH, and CPE are available on request.
Fire Performance of Cable Sheaths
Cables can be supplied with special flame retardant PVC outer sheath to comply With the flame test requirements of IEC 60332-3-22, IEC 60332-3-23 and IEC 60332-3-24, we can also supply cables with Low Smoke Halogen Free (LSHF) material according to IEC 60502-1, BS 7211, BS 6724 or other equivalent standards.

9.1.1 The single core cable should be laid in parallel, the distance between the cables center is 2 times of cable diameter for cables' cross sectional area of conductor ≤185mm2 while the distance between the cables' center is 90mm for cables' cross sectional area of conductor≥240 mm2.
