Stevioside has six kinds of monomers, and white powder diterpene glycoside (stevioside) has been proposed successively, which is 300 times sweeter than sucrose; Steviol bioside; RebaudiosideA, the highest sweetness is 450 times of sucrose; Rebaudioside B; Glycyrrhizin A and B can be used as sweet additives.

Stevioside is widely used in food industry as food sweetener and preservative. It is used to produce high sweetness, low calorie, low salt and anti caries food.
According to GB2760-1996, stevioside can be used in candies, cakes, beverages, solid drinks, fried snacks, candied fruits, preserved fruits, condiments, soft ice cream, and medical accessories. The amount of stevioside used shall be appropriate according to the production needs.

1. What is the benefits of stevia extract?
Stevia is a'non-nutritive sweetener'.This means it gives all of the sweetness of sugar, without plying the consumer with calories.
It comes from a plant, so some consider it a "natural," rather than an artificial, sweetener.
However, to make stevia, its sweet-tasting compounds-called steviol glycosides-are extracted from the plant leaves and purified.
