Overview
It consists of knitted fiberglass fabric that is impregnated with a water-activated polyurethane resin. Compared with the traditional plaster cast, fiberglass casting tape has these distinctive features: high strength, light weight, short hardening time, good air permeability, good X-ray translucency, easy operation, comfortable and safe, less powder during removal. It applies to fixing and supporting the fracture site and the injured joints. It is an ideal and upgrade product substitute for traditional plaster bandages.

Operation Steps:
A.Wear surgical gloves, select the roll of proper size. Apply stockinet or protective padding over the affected body part.
B.Open the package, immerse the roll of cast in room terperature water (21'C-24ºC) for 4-6 seconds, and saueeze 2-3 times to complete penetration of water into the roll, take it out and saueeze water off
(The temperature of water is proporional to set time, The higher temperature shorten the set time, while the lower temperature lengthens it .Termperature of water warer than 27'ºC ,obviousky shorten the set tire, hardly for the surgery. )
C,.Wrap cast spirallv, overlapping the previous laver by one-half or two-thirds the width of the roll Keep the proper tension and take care to avoid excessive tiqhtness. Excessive looseness will reduce the adhesion between layers, excessive tightness will affect the blood circulation of iniured parts.
(The strength can be determined by the number of layers used,the more layer,the stronger,just 3-4 layers provide a strong non-weight bearing cast and 5-6 layers are typicaly adequate for weight-bearing cast. Addltional layers, need to keep a proper adhesion.
D.Smooth and rub the surface to achieve qood contact between layers. Finish the whole operation in 3-5 minutes,
(Overtime will affect the adhesion and molding. injured parts can not move before the sufficient cure of cast.)
(Tip)cast trirmmed or removed with electric plaster saw equipment.
