Product Description
Manufacturer Thermocouple Bare Alloy Wire (Type K/N/E/J/T)
Type K is the most commonly used thermocouple for measuring high temperatures, providing the widest operating temperature range from - 200 ° to + 1260 °C.Type K has a better resistance to oxidation than other types of thermocouple (except type N) and is particularly recommended for oxidizing or inert atmospheres. It should not be used without protection in sulphurous atmospheres, in reducing atmospheres or a long time in a vacuum.Must be protected from sulfurous and marginally oxidizing atmospheres. Reliable and accurate at high temperatures.
Type N thermocouple has been developed which provides much longer life, longer exposure to high temperature and better reliability of EMF drift and short term EMF changes.
Type E thermocouple has the highest EMF output per degree of all the referenced thermocouples.
Type J Thermocouple is frequently used for its low cost and high EMF It can be used in oxidizing conditions up to 760°C. For higher temperatures, it is recommended to use large wire diameters.Type J thermocouple is suitable for oxidizing, reducing inert atmosphere or vacuum.
Type T thermocouple is suitable for oxidizing, reducing inert atmosphere or vacuum.
