Nylon screening materials are frequently used on aquaculture farms, hatcheries and in research laboratory settings. They are used for filtration or size sorting where precise hole size is critical.
SHARE nylon mesh filters, 212 microns, can be used for aquaculture. Our nylon mesh filters is available in various sheet and pore sizes. It is an essential tool in livefood culture. The standard mesh grades include 25, 53, 120, 150, 212, 250, 450, 500, and 1000 microns, with common sheet sizes of 10 and 30 square centimeters. Larger sections, 1 meter wide, are also available for public aquarium use.
25 and 53 microns
- Ideal for capturing very small plankton and microorganisms
- Used in fine filtration processes in larval laboratories
- Suitable for collecting phytoplankton samples
120 and 150 microns
- Commonly used for zooplankton collection
- Effective in filtering smaller larvae and eggs in aquaculture settings
- Useful for general water quality management in aquariums
212 and 250 microns
- Suitable for collecting larger zooplankton species
- Used in larval rearing systems to separate different size classes
- Effective for filtering out debris while allowing smaller organisms to pass through
450 and 500 microns
- Ideal for fabricating plankton nets to collect larger zooplankton and small fish larvae
- Used in aquaculture for grading juvenile fish and shrimp
- Effective in filtering larger particles in water treatment systems
1000 microns
- Used for collecting larger organisms and debris
- Suitable for pre-filtration in aquaculture systems
- Effective in separating larger fish larvae or juvenile aquatic organisms
