Pesticide Bifenthrin 10%EC 98%TC Insecticide for Pest Control
Bifenthrin, a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide, has contact and stomach poisoning effects. It lacks systemic or fumigant properties. Highly effective against pests, it offers a wide range of action. The product leaves low residue and requires a small amount for application. Additionally, it can control mites. Rapid development occurred in the 1970s and 1980s, leading to its widespread use around the world. Today, it remains a popular choice among insecticides.
Features of Bifenthrin
1. Broad insecticidal spectrum and wide range of applicable crops. Bifenthrin is effective against various pests, including those from the Lepidoptera, Hemiptera, Coleoptera, and Thysanoptera orders. It also has some efficacy against mite pests. It can be used on field crops such as wheat, corn, peanuts, soybeans, and rice, as well as on fruit trees like citrus, apples, grapes, and bananas. Additionally, it is suitable for vegetable crops such as cabbage, leeks, tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants, as well as economic crops like watermelon and cotton, and tea gardens. It controls various pests, including aphids, cotton bollworms, pink bollworms, tea geometrids, tea caterpillars, tea leafhoppers, fruit tree borers, citrus leaf miners, diamondback moths, and cabbage loopers. It can also be used to manage underground pests like leek maggots, garlic maggots, grubs, golden needle bugs, cutworms, and mole crickets, and can control mites as well.
2. Fast insecticidal action and high safety. Bifenthrin primarily works through contact and stomach poisoning. Compared to other pyrethroid insecticides, it has a higher insecticidal activity. After spraying the solution, pests begin to die within one hour, with peak mortality reached within four hours, allowing for rapid elimination of pests. Furthermore, bifenthrin does not move in the soil, making it relatively safe for the environment, and it is less likely to cause phytotoxicity due to factors like temperature or improper application concentration.
3. Simultaneous control of insects and mites with a long residual period. The residual effectiveness of bifenthrin can last up to 10-15 days. However, it is important to note that its efficacy against mites can be unstable and may lead to resistance, so it is not recommended for use as a dedicated acaricide.
