  1. Add the photosensitizer to the photosensitive adhesive and mix thoroughly. Or mix the photosensitive powder with an appropriate amount of warm water and add it to the slurry and mix thoroughly.
  2. Apply the well-mixed photosensitive adhesive to the stencil.
  3. Allow the coated stencil to dry.
  4. Post the film on the stencil.
  5. Post the stencil for enough time.
  6. Rinse the stencil with water.
  7. Allow the stencil to dry.
  8. Fill up the pinhole part.

  1. User guide

2.1 Security lighting
Diazo photoresist should be operated indoors with low UV light. Special security lights are not required, but yellow and weaker lighting is ideal. For ordinary studio use, we recommend using golden silver light tubes and sticking the light on the windows with yellow paint or film to filter the light better.
To test whether ordinary studio light is suitable for handling diazo light-sensitive photoresist , the photoresist can be coated on a stencil and allowed to dry. Cover half of the stencil with a piece of black paper and leave the entire stencil indoors for at least 20 minutes, then rinse with water. If there is no photosensitive adhesive residue left on both sides, the indoor light is just right.

2.2 Sensitized
Diazo photosensitive adhesive is a two-component photosensitive adhesive, which consists of two parts:
A: Photosensitive colloid(Emulsion 900g)
B: diazo powdery photosensitizer.(Diazo powder sensitiser 3g)

The two parts should be mixed with the following way:
 
  1. Carefully pour the powdered photosensitizer from the tinfoil bag into the vial provided. .
  2. Fill the vial with water to 2/3 capacity.Stir well with a plastic stick or small wooden stick.
  3. Close the cap and shake the bottle vigorously until the powder is completely dissolved.
Some customers like to use high-viscosity or low-viscosity photosensitive adhesives. According to personal needs, the photosensitizer can be directly added to the colloid or the vial can be filled with water to dissolve.
When adding the photosensitive powder directly to the colloid, great care must be taken to ensure that the photosensitive powder and the colloid are thoroughly mixed.


2.3 Prepare the stencil:
stencil was degreased with degreaser P-6 8 .
First wet the stencil, apply the degreaser on the stencil with a sponge or brush, and make a circuit action to ensure that both sides of the stencil are fully coated. Let the stencil sit for a few minutes, then rinse off any degreaser residue with cold water. Allow the mesh to dry before applying the photosensitive adhesive. If it is a new stencil, use a grating paste to roughen it to ensure the durability of the stencil.

2.4 Coating

   2.4.1 hand coating
 Gently erect the stencil at an angle With a slight angle to the operator, follow these steps:
  1. Coat the diazo photoresist on the printing surface one or two times. If it is twice, the first coating is followed by the second coating, and there is no need to wait for the first drying.
  2. Coat the diazo photosensitive adhesive on the squeegee surface once or twice, if it is twice, apply the second time immediately after the first coating, without waiting for the first time to dry.
  3. If you want to apply a thick film effect, you need to apply several times on the squeegee surface, and then apply the second time immediately after one coating, without waiting for the previous drying.
  4. To use the coating bath to calculate the thickness to be coated to achieve the required standard.

2.4.2 automatic coating
Coating using an automatic coater, we recommend coating on both sides at the same time. If you want to apply a thick film effect, you need to apply several times on the squeegee surface.

     2.5 Drying
 Wet stencils should be dried in a dark place or in soft yellow light, preferably horizontally , with the squeegee facing up. Warm or well ventilated cabinets at 40 degrees or 105 degrees Fahrenheit can be used. However, take special care not to blow dust onto the drying stencil. Make sure the stencil is completely dry before printing for durable printing.

2.6 Paste the positive picture film
1, Paste the positive film, the glued side, on the dry printed surface. Secure it with a small piece of clear tape.
2.Put the stencil that has been pasted with Yangtu Film into the vacuum printing frame, and ensure sufficient contact before printing.

2.7 Copy exposure
Correct exposure is a factor in obtaining the best resolution, resolution and stencil life. To determine the correct exposure time for an unfamiliar photoresist or light source, we recommend using the exposure test scale. Proceed as follows:
  1. Paste our exposure time calculation film on the printing surface of the photosensitive adhesive. According to the type of mesh, the distance between the mesh plate and the light source and the intensity of the light (the ideal test exposure is often twice the appropriate exposure time) to determine the appropriate exposure time. After exposure, the stencil is developed so that the correct exposure time can be confirmed. The correct exposure time is the maximum time limit for obtaining the ideal stencil resolution.
  2. A small piece of Yangtu film was glued to the coated stencil and a black paper mask was used to make a series of exposures. The exposure time is doubled from the previous one. The positive and negative exposure time is the maximum time limit to obtain the ideal stencil resolution after development.

Note: The exposure time is affected by many factors: including the light source, mesh, the degree of coating of the photosensitive adhesive, the color and specific characteristics of the mesh, the transparency of the Yangtu film and the glass transparency of the vacuum printing frame.

Note: The exposure time listed here is the time required for complete curing, so it is the curing time for 120 mesh yellow mesh, coated twice on both sides. Longer exposure times are required if multi-fiber filaments, or stainless steel mesh, or thicker meshes are used.

2.8 Development and final drying
Place the stencil in the rinse tank and gently rinse both sides of the stencil with cold or lukewarm water (not exceeding 40 degrees Celsius or 105 degrees Fahrenheit). After 1-2 minutes, slightly increase the water pressure of the rinse. Continue developing until all images are sharp and realistic. For thicker or heavier coated stencils, allow the wet stencil to sit for a few minutes before developing. After rinsing and developing, use a hair dryer or drying cabinet to dry the stencil.

2.9 Make up
Place the stencil under the light of a white or yellow light source and check for pinholes or contamination. These are mainly caused by dust falling on the film or the glass of the vacuum frame. Top it up with a suitable sealing paste.

2.10 Recycled stencils
Remove the ink residue with ghosting paste and rinse the stencil with clean water. Apply film release agent or film release powder on both sides of the stencil, leave it for a few minutes, and rinse the stencil with a powerful water spray gun or high-pressure water gun.

 2.11 Storage
This product should be placed in a cool place, not lower than 0 degrees Celsius or 32 degrees Fahrenheit, or not higher than 35 degrees Celsius or 95 degrees Fahrenheit, and in an airtight container. Can be stored for up to 4 years. Sensitized photoresist can only be stored for 4-6 weeks. Pre-coated stencils can last up to 4 weeks if stored in a complete dark room at 20°C. For stencils that have been coated for a longer time, the photoresist will absorb moisture from the air. So re-drying should be requested before exposure.

2.12 Safety and Handling
 Be very careful when using this product. Wear PPE, such as suitable gloves or safety glasses.
This product:
Does not contain any toxic or carcinogenic chemicals or substances that induce mutations in organisms .
No flash point, so exempt from inspection by the Highly Flammable Liquids Regulations.

2.14 Environmental information
This product:
        Does not contain heavy metals.
Does not contain substances listed in the Montreal Convention that cause the destruction of the atmospheric ozone layer.
aromatic carbohydrates that are harmful to the surrounding environment .
Product determined to be moderately biodegradable by the OECD 301D Sealed Bottle Test .
The pH is 4-5.
does not contain any volatile solvents, which is less harmful to the environment than solvent-based products.
