1.How to track a pipeline pig?
Hyperfore pig detectors mount externally on the pipe being pigged. To track the pig, when a pig passes the detector, the detector picks up the pigs magnetic field. When the pig passes by the pig detection unit, the unit detects the magnetic field inside the pig and sends a signal to the PLC system. The operator can see the indicator light on the touch screen or computer.
2.What is pig detection?
Hyperfore pig detection unit sense the pigs magnetic field, and it provides a signal as the pig passes. When the device detects the presence of a pig, indicator light on the touch screen or computor will light up .
"Pigs" are inserted into a pipeline through existing openings. They are propelled by the flow of compressed air, water, or liquid product.
