Pre-Finish Welding Spiral Pipe Mill Tube Mill
Pre finish welding spiral welded pipe mill is to let the forming and welding separate to the two processes. The forming machine adopts high-speed forming. Compared with the normal spiral welded pipe mill, the forming of pre-welding & precise welding spiral welded pipe mill does not weld completely. It only uses the CO2 protective welding to have the pre-welding on the steel joint part. It will be ok only let the steel joint part to be not open. Then, the pipe will be sized and cut off. After the pipe is sent out the line, the pipe will be delivered to the precise welding machine to have the detailed welding on the internal & external welding seam.
This kind of forming technology has many advantages. Firstly, the forming and welding are separated. Then, the effect from forming process will be eliminated during the precise forming. The welding seam quality can be guaranteed more. Secondly, the production efficiency is the four times of the one in normal spiral line due to adopting the high-speed forming machine (the speed can reach to 8m/min). The precise welding machine has four sets. Then, the one combined mill production capacity can be three or four times of the normal one. This kind of mill is suitable for large pipe plant with good quality and high efficiency. This mill is mainly used for manufacturing the oil, gas (long distance) delivery pipe, which has the high requirement on the material and quality, the same as the equipment and testing equipment.
