The surface of the panel consists of two pre-coated aluminum skins made from engineered alloys such as 3003/5005. What distinguishes this product is its unique fire-retardant (FR) core, which incorporates fire-resistant minerals like Aluminum Tri-Hydroxide (ATH) and Magnesium Di-Hydroxide (MDH), known for their excellent flame-retardant properties.
Flame Retardant Technology
The FR core of these panels utilizes metal hydroxide flame retardants, which are low-smoke compounds. When exposed to heat, these flame retardants decompose endothermically, releasing water vapor and metal oxides. The water vapor helps dilute the surrounding combustible environment while removing the heat generated during combustion. This self-extinguishing property slows down the burning behavior of the material, reduces fire intensity, and prevents fire spread. EUROBOND FR ACPs significantly enhance fire safety, meeting building fire regulations with low non-toxic smoke emissions.
