Appearance: p-Toluenesulfonyl isocyanate is a colorless or light yellow liquid that can evaporate at room temperature.
Solubility: It is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, dimethylformamide, and ether. Relatively low solubility in water.
Stability: p-Toluenesulfonyl isocyanate is relatively stable at room temperature, but are prone to hydrolysis at high temperatures or under strong alkaline conditions, producing corresponding toluene sulfonamides and isocyanates.
