Product Description

Chrome corundum brick (chrome corundum brick) is a corundum refractory product containing Cr2O3, which has the characteristics of high purity, good mechanical properties at high temperature and excellent chemical stability. At high temperatures, Cr2O3 and Al2O3 form a continuous solid solution, so the high temperature performance of chromium corundum products is better than that of pure corundum products. Chrome corundum bricks used in petrochemical industry gasifiers should be low silicon, low iron, low alkali, high purity, but also have a high density and strength. Chromium corundum products with more applications, Cr2O3 content is mostly in the range of 9% to 15%. The main mineral composition is α-Al2O3-Cr2O3 solid solution. The secondary mineral composition is a small amount of composite spinel (or no composite spinel), chromium oxide content of 1% to 30% of the firebrick. There are two kinds of fused cast chrome corundum brick and sintered chrome corundum brick. Under normal circumstances, chrome corundum brick refers to sintered chrome corundum brick.



Product features:
1. Strong fire resistance. According to the Al2O3-Cr2O3 binary phase diagram,Al2O3 and Cr2O3 can form continuous solid solutions without eutectic production. Therefore, no matter how much Cr2O3 is added to the high-purity corundum material, it will not reduce the fire resistance of the material but improve the fire resistance of the material.
2. High compressive strength. The normal temperature compressive strength of high purity corundum brick is generally 70~100MPa, and the normal temperature compressive strength of high performance chrome corundum brick is generally >150MPa, which is significantly higher than that of corundum brick.
3. Good thermal shock stability. According to reports, when Cr2O3 is added to corundum, when the Cr2O3 content is 10% to 66%, the thermal shock stability of the material decreases with the increase of Cr2O3 content, that is, the thermal shock stability of chromium corundum brick with low Cr2O3 content is better than that of chromium corundum brick with high Cr2O3 content.

Applied to zinc smelting electric furnace, volatilization kiln.
