Metallurgical Heating Furnace Trolley and Furnace Door Refractory Materials Composition
The trolley refractory material of the trolley-type metallurgical heating furnace adopts a composite structure, with a working layer on top and an insulation layer on the bottom. The trolley surface bears a considerable load, operates at a high temperature, and is directly impacted by flames. Therefore, the working layer is made of heavy castable prefabricated products, which facilitate maintenance and replacement. Below the working layer is the insulation layer, and different materials are selected for different temperature ranges to achieve economic rationality
The furnace door of the heating furnace is lined with ceramic fiber. Furnace doors lined with ceramic fiber as the inner lining have characteristics such as lightweight, requiring less lifting force, and convenient construction and maintenance. In recent years, their application on trolley-type heating furnaces has been quite successful.
In addition to enduring high temperatures or heavy loads, the trolley surface also experiences momentary "impacts" when placing steel ingots. These "impacts" often result in the fragmentation, cracking, or damage of the refractory materials on the trolley surface. In light of this, the trolley surface is constructed using high-strength castable prefabricated blocks, and the trolley edge bricks are made from high-strength castable prefabricated custom-shaped blocks, which can be used for repairs after localized damage. To protect the trolley edge bricks and the trolley frame, the trolley edge bricks are slightly lower than the central part of the trolley surface.
