Pile Hammer Operational Mechanism
The vibrating pile hammer utilizes high-frequency vibrations to exert high acceleration on the pile body. This vertical vibration alters the soil structure around the pile, decreasing its strength. Consequently, the soil around the pile becomes liquefied, reducing frictional resistance between the pile's side and the soil. The excavator's down force, combined with the vibrating pile hammer and the pile weight, drives the pile into the ground. For pile extraction, vibrations are applied to lift the pile using the excavator's lift force. The required excitation force is determined by various factors including site soil, soil condition, moisture content, pile type, and construction specifics.
