1. Confirm that every component, including the rock drill, its supporting bracket, or drill cart, is in pristine condition and properly lubricated. Ensure that the pathways for wind and water are unobstructed and that all connection joints are securely fastened.

2. Inspect the roof and adjacent areas near the drilling site for any loose or precarious rocks. Address any potential hazards to ensure safety before beginning operations.

3. Guarantee the working surface is perfectly level to prevent any slippage or unintended displacement while drilling.

4. It is imperative to use water during the drilling process to avoid the hazards of dry drilling. Initiate operations with water flow, followed by wind. When halting, reverse the sequence. Begin drilling at a lower speed, transitioning to full speed only after reaching adequate depth.

5. For safety reasons, operators must refrain from wearing gloves during operation.

6. Pay close attention to your standing posture and body position while utilizing the air leg. Avoid applying body pressure and never stand directly in front of the rock drill to prevent injury from possible brazing rod breakage.
