Product Description
Seeding Rock Wool CubesOur premium rock wool substrate is meticulously engineered for greenhouse farming,
floriculture, herbal medicine cultivation, three-dimensional greening,
vertical planting walls, and home gardening among other applications.
Rock wool Cubes are designed for the seamless initiation of seeds and cuttings, ensuring uniform root development throughout the entire cube. They can either be integrated into the holes of any standard rock wool blocks or used in conjunction with Aqua Clay, Perlite, Coco fibre mixes, and most other growing media.
Rock wool is a high-quality mineral wool derived from molten basalt and limestone, spun into fine fibers, and then compressed into versatile cubes, blocks, or slabs.
When handling rock wool, always wear gloves and a mask. The fibers can cause skin irritation, and inhaling them can irritate the lungs.
1. Avoid squeezing Rock wool, especially when wet.
2. Pre-condition Rock wool in pH 5.5 water to dissolve lime before use.
3. Pre-soak the Rock wool for 30 seconds to 30 minutes, depending on its size.
4. Only water when there is light - never during the dark.
5. Maintain optimum room temperatures between 18.5°C and 28°C for most species. Temperatures above 26.7°C inside the growing media can deplete oxygen levels, promoting root disease.
6. Under low light conditions, water with higher volumes but fewer cycles, and vice versa.
7. Do NOT let Rock wool become overly saturated. Excessive algae growth indicates overwatering. Minimize watering during the plant's early stages to ensure proper root development, crucial for healthy growth.
Features: 1. Rock wool boasts a high water retention capacity, while still maintaining adequate air retention. This significant water-holding ability is beneficial during power or equipment failures. 2. It is available in various sizes and shapes to cater to different hydroponic applications. 3. Rock wool is highly durable and does not easily disintegrate or break down. 4. Insect-free. 5. Its physical structure makes root inspection challenging, aiding in the prevention of root disturbances.
