Cutter suction dredgers are usually powered by diesel engines, which have the advantage of being more flexible to operate, strong in power and high in torque. However, compared to motor power, diesel may be more expensive in different regions. Because customers can also choose motor power. The main parts of a cutter suction dredger are the mud pump and diesel engine, in addition to the hull. The connection between the diesel engine and the mud pump relies on the gearbox speed change. Then there is the reamer head, which cuts and stirs the mud layer to provide high-concentration mud to the mud pump. The fully hydraulic cutter suction dredger also has hydraulic winches and hydraulic cylinders. There are five hydraulic winches in total, one of which is for raising and lowering the reamer bridge, two of which are for left and right transverse movement, allowing the dredger to be used for large-scale dredging, and two are for raising and lowering anchors.
