Overview

Introducing the next evolution in the Raspberry Pi lineage: the Raspberry Pi 5. Surpassing the capabilities of its predecessor, the Raspberry Pi 4, this latest marvel boasts a CPU that's 2-3 times more powerful, a significantly enhanced GPU, and upgraded camera, display, and USB interfaces. Central to this innovation is the Raspberry Pi's proprietary RP1 I/O control chip, marking its debut in a flagship product. Responding to user feedback, Raspberry Pi 5 now includes two key features to streamline product tracking and returns:

1) Each board has an identifiable marking on the upper side of the PCB, denoting the specific memory density fitted (visible in the graphic above).
2) Each board is equipped with a unique serial number, present on both the PCB and the individual carton, enabling precise tracking of shipments to customers. During outbound shipping, it's essential to document these serial numbers. Full shippers containing 180 boards feature an external barcode for easy inventory management.

Accessories - Raspberry Pi 5 Case

The newly designed case for Raspberry Pi 5 builds on its predecessor's design with enhanced thermal features to support higher power consumption. It includes a variable-speed fan, powered and controlled via a dedicated connector on the Raspberry Pi 5 PCB.

Initially available in our signature red/white color scheme, with a black/grey variant to follow.

Accessories - 27W USB-C PD Power Supply

The new 27W USB-C PD Power Supply delivers a maximum of 5.1V, 5A, allowing the Raspberry Pi 5 to power a broader range of peripherals. Normally, the four USB ports on Raspberry Pi 5 draw a nominal 600mA, but this increases to 1.6A when the USB-C PD Power Supply is detected.
Additionally, the USB-C PD Power Supply supports 3A @ 9V, 2.25A @ 12V, and 1.8A @ 15V for PD-compatible devices, making it a versatile, cost-effective solution for various applications beyond Raspberry Pi.

Accessories - Active Cooler

For users demanding sustained heavy loads, the Active Cooler offers an optimal cooling solution. It features a large metal heatsink paired with a variable-speed blower, powered and controlled through the fan connector, and attached to the Raspberry Pi 5 PCB using sprung pins.

Accessories - RTC Battery

The power-management IC in Raspberry Pi 5 integrates a real-time clock and charging circuitry for a button cell battery, ensuring the clock remains powered when the main power is disconnected.

We provide a Panasonic ML-2020 Lithium Manganese Dioxide battery, complete with a two-pin plug compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5 PCB battery connector, and a double-sided adhesive pad for secure attachment.

Accessories - Camera and Display Adapter Cables

Raspberry Pi 5 features two four-lane MIPI connectors, each supporting either a camera or display. These connectors utilize the 22-way, 0.5mm-pitch 'mini' FPC format like the Compute Module Development Kit and require adapter cables to connect to the 15-way, 1mm-pitch 'standard' format connectors used in current camera and display products.

We offer mini-to-standard adapter cables for cameras and displays in 200mm, 300mm, and 500mm lengths.
Please note that a camera cable should exclusively be used for cameras, and a display cable should be used solely for displays. Using them interchangeably may cause functionality issues.
