Product Description
Static casting steel back up roll
Description
GFHZG, used as back-up rolls, is a new product of our company. This type of rolls are gained by centrifugal casting process with high alloy steel as the work layer which forms quite good tensile sterength and abrasive wear resistance, also with the alloy pearlitic nodular cast iron as the core which possess high tensile strength and bending strength. Through heat treatment the structure of the work layer becomes fine-grained and evenily distributed carbides in a banitic matrix. That is because the work layer is solidified in the condition of strong centrifugal force and the granule of the alloy steel is fine. By adding some special element into the work layer, the strength of the border between granules is enhanced; at the same time other special element are added to improve the high tensile strength of the work layer and guarantee their resistance to thermal shocking and fire-cracking.
We adopt various heat-treatment processes to adjust the hardness of the rolls according to different rolling conditions such as rolling pressure, rolling speed, reduction and products rolled in order to obtain the best effect in various spcecial rolling mills. As the feedback of customers, the practical effects of GFHZG are twice than forged steel rolls.

Application
GFHZG are mainly used as back-up rolls in narrow, intermediate-wide and wide hot strip rolling mills, and now the rolls have been used in the cold rolling mills.
