Product Description
Product structure of steel-jacketed steel insulation pipes

 S
teel jacketed steel insulation pipes are usually composed of the following three main parts:

1.Working steel pipe
              *  The working steel pipe is the core part of the steel-jacketed steel insulation pipe and is responsible for transporting media such as steam and hot water.

            *  Generally, seamless steel pipes, spiral seam steel pipes or straight seam steel pipes are adopted. The material is selected based on the characteristics of the conveyed medium and engineering requirements. Common materials include carbon steel, alloy steel, etc.

             * The selection of its pipe diameter and wall thickness depends on parameters such as flow rate, pressure and temperature.

    2.Insulating layer
            * The insulation layer is located between the working steel pipe and the outer protective steel pipe and plays a key role in reducing heat loss.

            * Commonly used insulation materials include
polyurethane foam, glass wool, rock wool, aluminum silicate fiber, aerogel felt etc. These materials have good insulation performance and heat insulation effect.

            * The thickness of the insulation layer is designed and calculated based on the usage environment of the pipeline, the temperature of the medium and the insulation requirements to ensure the expected energy-saving effect is achieved.

3.Outer protective steel pipe
             * The outer protective steel pipe is wrapped outside the insulation layer to provide protection for the working steel pipe and the insulation layer

             * Usually, spiral steel pipes or straight seam steel pipes are adopted, and the materials are generally carbon steel.

            * The outer protective steel pipe can prevent mechanical damage, corrosion and water intrusion from the outside, thereby ensuring the long-term stable operation of the pipeline.

Diameter of Working Steel PipeUsually ranging from DN25 to DN1200
Wall Thickness of Working Steel PipeDepending on the pipe diameter and pressure requirements, generally between 3mm and 20mm
Material of Outer Protective Steel PipeMostly Q235B or spiral steel pipe material
Diameter of Outer Protective Steel PipeLarger than the diameter of the working steel pipe, and the specific size depends on the thickness of the insulation layer
Wall Thickness of Outer Protective Steel PipeUsually between 4mm and 10mm
Insulation Layer MaterialCommonly such as polyurethane foam, glass wool, etc.
Thickness of Insulation LayerGenerally between 30mm and 150mm
Temperature Resistance RangeVaries depending on the insulation layer material, generally between -50ºC and 350ºC
Thermal Conductivity CoefficientFor example, polyurethane foam is about 0.024 W/(m·K)
Water Absorption RateGenerally less than 3%
Compressive StrengthDepends on the insulation layer material. For example, polyurethane foam can reach more than 200kPa
